Brett Anderson reflecting on this meeting on three separate occasions:
“…he was actually one of the nicest people I’ve ever met…just so, so charming. He came in and he smelt beautiful, that was the most important thing.
When I talked to him about music, he knew everything. Modern classical, dance, rock ‘n’ roll - the guy’s light years ahead of anyone else I’ve met.
I dreamed about it a few nights afterwards, which is quite extreme. I’ve never dreamed of him before. And he’s sort of sitting in the back of my mind, haunting me now. More than he’s ever done. Because I love him. He’s a brilliant man.”
